The U.S. Army has banned use of the cannabis compound cannabidiol (usually called CBD), after a series of incidents in which soldiers were sickened by products that are often referred to as “synthetic cannabinoids” or “synthetic marijuana.” Even while implementing a ban on CBD though, the Army admits that actual CBD is not harmful.
